I have completed B.Sc. (Hons) and M. Phil in Biotechnology, specializing in plant sciences. Currently, I am pursuing my Ph.D. in Biotechnology, focusing on tree plants. During my M.Phil research, I developed and characterized herbicide-resistant transgenic plants using Agrobacterium-mediated plant transformation. In my Ph.D. research, I am working with citrus plants and have successfully developed genome-edited citrus plants using CRISPR-Cas9 technology. I have extensive expertise in tissue culturing various crops, performing crop transformations through Agrobacterium-mediated methods, and conducting bioinformatics analysis of different gene families in crop plants.
